When time comes to find what to wear I know it gets hard for most of us. When was the last time you said I have nothing to wear when you actually have a packed closet even with pieces with tags still on. its all ok do not panic.
I agree that there’s frustration when putting an outfit together for a special occasion but let’s be honest sometimes with work or other activities the least thing we have is time to find the perfect outfit.
No worries luckily for all of us there’s this a thing called monochromatic outfits, monochromatic dressing means wearing separates of one color that have different textures and/or similar shades of that color for an overall tonal look. and yes that for me is my to go outfit when I don’t even have a clue of what to wear, I know that a lot of us go for the all in black theme but this time I challenge you to think outside the box and put more color on your outfit.
Wearing multiple layers of varied textures of one color add depth and dimension to an outfit, while also allowing you to highlight, or downplay, certain parts of your body.
Whether it’s top-to-bottom jewel tones, winter whites, or a neutral ensemble, monochromic dressing definitely offers visual relief from the more frenzied trends of past seasons. And yes indded this trend can offer you the option to wear past season items that you dont want to just take space on your closet you want to wear them.
On this outfit I am wearing a faux mini skirt past season from Forever 21, Pull over from Zara< skarf from
American Eagle, and shoes from Zara.
This is the easiest way to get dressed and anyone can afford to do it, as longest you have tops and bottoms and accessories of the same color (can be different shades of one color too) dressing in all one hue is super simple and looks really chic.
On this outfit I’m wearing Gap past season trousers with a new H&M blouse as you can see basically it looks like the same material.
